One entrance into the garden is via the Pond Walkway. Planted beside it are beautiful sun loving perennials.

The Pond Walkway in March features Phlox subulata 'White Delight' |

Aquilegia (Columbine) with Kerria japonica in
the background. |
Columbines hybridize freely with so many pollinators visiting one and then another. A darker colored one showed up recently. |
Passalong plants from friends are always welcomed, especially when they are as beautiful as this unidentified pink German Iris. |
Chinese Indigo Indigofera kirilowii blooms in early summer. |
Try new plants whenever you can, like this gorgeous Phygelius croftway 'Snow Queen,' which I found at Big Bloomers (see Links). |
This is the species form of Ruellia, False Petunia, which some say is invasive. I love the fact that it seeds in and is making a lovely 6" tall groundcover, all on its own. |
Although not a native plant, Lycoris radiata, or Spider Lily, is a Southern heirloom bulb, blooming in early fall sans leaves, which died away in early spring. |
The pink-flowering Obedient Plant (Physostegia) is so invasive. Try this white variety, 'Miss Manners.' |
