This is new walkway started in the summer of 2006. Shrubs have been planted that have been identified to grow in very acid, dry shade...hopefully, they will thrive.

My husband loves to work with wood. From a picture, he fashioned this beautiful obelisk for me. |

Mahonia...Late winter yellow blossoms are replaced by purple berries in the summer. |

A gift from Mother Nature. Downy False Foxglove (Aureolaria virginica) is indigenous to our property (and native to the Southeast). It makes a great groundcover. |
 |
The flower of Downy False Foxglove is 1-1/2" long and blooms in our garden in early June. This plant is semi-parasitic on the roots of trees of the White Oak group. |
