Elegant Japanese Maples and colorful Azaleas are the mainstays of the Front Door Garden.

A welcoming path to the front door. Any self-respecting Southern garden must have azaleas in the shade garden.
Lirope muscari 'Majestic' has a deeper lilac color and bigger blooms than the species. Biennial Digitalis purpurea (Foxglove) happily reseeds into the sun or shade garden.

I searched high and low to find an Acer palmatum 'Dissectum' that had great form. This one is perfect. I once disliked hostas. I changed my mind once I found ones like 'Leading Lady,' a beautiful tall variety that allows plants to grow at its base.
