The fringetrees are indigenous to our property, although they were cut down every spring prior to our being knowledgeable gardeners. Other shade-loving woodland shrubs have been added to this area.

	This mass planting of Fringetrees was a gift from Nature.		Chionanthus virginicus, also known as fringetree and Old Man's Beard, is one of the South's most beautiful ornamental trees.
