To direct rain from thunderstorms, we installed the dry streambed to divert water to flow down into this garden.

A focal point has been created by installing the bridge over the dry streambed. Cranes in the Dry Streambed Garden.
White Christmas Rose, Hellebore niger, shines bright in the winter garden. Saruma henryi, a 1' tall shade-loving perennial from China, is easy to grow and sports pastel yellow flowers in spring.
Peacock Plant, (Selaginella uncinata) gets its name from its irridescent sheen of bluish turquoise and is my favorite groundcover. Begonia grandis is a hardy begonia that self-seeds into the garden and will grow if there is enough moisture.
Adding a deep purple color to the shade garden is the bulb, Oxalis regnellii 'Triangularia.'
