Next to hot pavement in full sun with very little watering, drought tolerant perennials thrive. This garden is spectacular in late summer when the Velvet Mallow blooms pink as the Sedum ‘Autumn Joy’ is in its pink stage. A few weeks later, in early fall, Miscanthus sinensis sports orange plumes and the ‘Autumn Joy’ Sedum is in its burnt-orange stage. Awesome.
